No grid connection was available for this farmhouse and dairy on the Panchgani plateau. We installed a 10 kW off-grid system with a 20 kWh lithium bank, a generator-changeover input, and separate load circuits for the dairy chilling unit, farmhouse and water pump.
The generator now runs only in extended monsoon spells, cutting diesel consumption by roughly 80%.
