5 HP PM-KUSUM Solar Pump for 7-Acre Drip Farm – Sinnar, Nashik
Solar pump • Nashik • 4.5 kW
This 7-acre grape and vegetable farm near Sinnar ran two diesel pumps, spending over ₹1.35 lakh a year on fuel and losing irrigation days whenever fuel ran short.
We measured the borewell head (52 m) and the farm’s peak daily requirement, then installed a 5 HP AC submersible with a VFD solar drive and a 4.5 kW array on a manual-tilt structure. A grid changeover keeps the pump usable on cloudy monsoon days.
Daily output exceeds 1.1 lakh litres through the season, and the group now irrigates on their own schedule instead of waiting for the feeder roster.
